The differerence between ordinary and extraordinary

is that little bit 'extra'

FREE HEARING TEST - This is where an Audiologist establishes what is going on with your hearing and whether you have a hearing loss. They will play a series of tones that will vary in volume to establish how well you can hear.

FREE CONSULTATION AND ADVICE - Once your hearing has been tested by an Audiologist, advice can be given about certain options you may have for overcoming your hearing difficulty. This is commonly in the form of a hearing aid but is dependent upon the individual and the type of hearing loss experienced.

As mentioned the hearing test and consultaion are absolutely FREE and there is NO OBLIGATION to proceed any further if you wish not too. We aim to offer the best advice and make you aware of the range of options you have with a hearing difficulty.

HEARING AID SELECTION AND FITTING - If you decide a hearing aid is the right thing for you, we will offer advice and guidance on which hearing aid will best suit your individual need. We are able to offer a wide range and selection of hearing aids from the major manufacturers, and being in the private healthcare sector, we can offer the latest in hearing aid technologies. Once selected we will fit and programme the hearing aid so that it is tailored to your individual loss.

What happens after my fitting? Getting used to using a hearing aid can take some time and so needs patience and persistence from the user. The brain needs time to adjust to the difference in hearing ability as it will have got used to your current, impaired, hearing ability. We provide follow-up appointments as and when you feel you need them although we recomemd we see you at regular intervals once you have your new aids.

AFTERCARE - We know that our patients require aftercare and also the knowledge that someone is there to help them if the hearing aids have a problem. We provide an excellent FREE aftercare service which includes re-tubing, repair and general maintenance.
